Heimspiel Wissenschaft (Science Home Match)

#ScicommLab

The project Heimspiel Wissenschaft (Science Home Match) brings researchers from rural regions back to their home towns. There they talk about what, how and why they do research and what it has to do with all our lives. In this way, science and research become tangible in the pub around the corner, in the community centre, in the sports clubhouse or on the village square.

In the #ScicommLab, experimental approaches for the design of online and face-to-face events are (further) developed and tested, and the exchange between research and practice is promoted. A special focus is on approaches for science communication on social science and humanities topics, which often still face challenges. Furthermore, the #ScicommLab is in charge of the accompanying evaluation of the overall project.

Heimspiel Wissenschaft is a BMBF-funded joint project of the German Rectors' Conference (HRK), the science communication agency con gressa and the #WisskommLab at CAPAS at Heidelberg University.
